Returning from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine to India in 2009, Arnab got involved in drug discovery, taking a keen interest in disease pathophysiology, especially in inflammation and oncology. Over the next decade, he has lead several drug discovery programs in collaboration with Big Pharma and smaller biotechs, e.g. GSK, Abbvie, Takeda, Onconova delivering leads, first-in-class, and pre-IND candidates. Debabani, working on malaria vaccine at Bloomberg School of Public Health, joined CCMB, Hyderabad, and later won a DST-WoSA grant, working on human X chromosome inactivation.
Arnab moved onto Amgen India in Jan 2017 to pursue his oncology drug discovery ambitions and finally started his start-up in 2018. He is passionate about science, does not believe in mediocrity or cutting corners, and breathes integrity in all his actions. Debabani then joined hands with him to head the R&D and operations, once wet lab started.
